The lemon belongs to the rutaceae family.
Used both for its fruits and as an ornamental plant. The lemon is an evergreen plant and can reach a height of 4-5 meters. Production usually begins 4 years after planting.
The leaves are dark green on the top and light green on the bottom and oval in shape. The flowers are white and bloom at different times of the year, which is why the lemon is considered a remontant tree. The fruits have different shapes and colors depending on the variety. The plant produces fruit throughout the year.
The lemon peel is very thick, while the yellow flesh usually has a sour taste with different characteristics depending on the quality.
